Aoril 12, 2025 Conference Materials
April 12, 2025
Conference
Welcome!
We are excited to announce our spring conference, which will take place on April 12, 2025, in the Salt Lake area. This conference will have two sessions. The first session will be a part of an ongoing series of women's conferences. Stephanie Snuffer will facilitate this portion of the conference.
The second, general portion of the conference, will take place in the afternoon/evening. Time to be announced. During this general portion, we will vote on material to be included in the second printing of the scriptures. The vote will be in person and will be a simple majority vote. Fellowships may hold votes the week prior on Sunday, April 6th, record the votes, and send representatives with the votes to be counted at the conference.
This conference is separate from the conference being held the next day on April 13. Both conferences will hold votes for material to be included in the scriptures. Please attend and vote at both.
The vote at this conference is an open submission vote. We ask that if you desire to submit material for a vote, you are very circumspect about your submission. Adrian Larsen has given wise counsel regarding adding to scripture, and while we may not align perfectly with everything in this blog post, we believe it to be generally good advice, worthy of consideration prior to submitting material.
Vote Submissions
The window for submissions will close on January 31, 2025, to give the people a reasonable amount of time to consider material before the vote.
Please send submissions to upcomingconferencesubmissions@gmail.com

FAQ
Q: Are these competing conferences?
A: No. We are excited about the April 13 conference. We encourage everyone to go to both, as important voting will occur at both.
Q: Why not hold one vote for all material?
A: Those hosting the April 13 conference have specific parameters for what will be voted on at that conference. It includes material that has been revealed through Denver since the last printing of the scriptures in 2019. This conference will hold an open submission vote.
Q: What if someone submits something crazy? I don’t want anything crazy in covenantally binding scriptures.
A: The people of the congregation are intelligent, thoughtful, and capable of making prayerful, sound decisions. In past votes, the people have voted in material that should be included and voted out material that should be excluded. We believe this will be true for this vote.
Q: Shouldn’t only the Lord tell us what goes into the scriptures?
A: The glossary teaches what “scripture” is and how it expands:
Scripture
“Inspired writings containing information either directly quoting the Lord or containing lessons, experiences, events, or words of instruction that honor God. To be acknowledged, a conference must adopt the writing as part of a canon. People who are in a living covenant with God always have an open canon and expect additional scripture.” (Email to Scripture Committee, Feb. 8, 2018.)
